Windows10 is already a huge file, but now it's so compressed that it's even bigger than Windows7. I recommend using 7Zip to open and extract the files. To speed up the process of extracting, use the 64-bit version of 7Zip. It also helps to use a Linux Live CD and mount your Step 1: Download and put the Windows10 ISO file on an SD card (or USB drive)Step 2: Boot your computer with any Linux Live CD (e.g. Ubuntu or Gparted)Step 3: From the "Start" menu choose "Disk Management". Make sure your SD card is connected to your Windows computer. Step 4: Once the Disk Management window opens, look at the bottom left corner for a USB drive or SD card labeled "(Disk Name)", click it to select it. Then click the arrow on the right of the "(Disk Name)" line to expand all disks (you should now see one (or more) optical drives labeled "(Drive Letter)" or "(E). If there is not an item named "Slots-Free", you should search Google for instructions on how to create one. Step 5: Under the "EFI Boot" tab of the SD card disk, right click and delete everything EXCEPT BOOT and BOOTBACKUP. This has to be done because Windows10 cannot boot from an empty bootloader. This step is important to avoid having to re-create a new bootloader with each update.Step 6: Your Step 4 should still be on your screen, but now you should add a new item in "Slots-Free". Right click under the white area where it says "(Disk Name)" and choose "Add New Simple Volume". Give it a drive letter (Example: E) and choose NTFS. Now go back to your Step 3 and expand the newly created drive (Example: E). Choose "Bootable" and change it to Read-only. Then click OK.Step 7: You should now be back at your Step 4, but this time with the new E drive on the screen. Now right click on E and make it bootable. And make sure no other drives are marked as bootable.Step 8: Pop the SD card in your computer and open Windows10's install image using 7Zip or another archive program that supports x64 (64-bit): IF YOU ARE ON A 32-BIT WINDOWS COMPUTER - Open C:\\Windows\\System32\\boot\\etfsboot. com IF YOU ARE ON A 64-BIT WINDOWS COMPUTER - Open C:\\Windows\\System32\\efisys_64.efiStep 9: Now you can extract all the files directly to your computer's hard drive using the x64 version of 7Zip. The instructions for opening the Windows10 ISO file in Step 8 will not work if you are on a 64-bit computer unless you have the 32-bit version of 7Zip, but it is still possible to run a 32-bit executable from a 64-bit OS by downloading and installing the Windows Compatibility Kit . If you already have 7Zip installed, make sure you have version 9.20 or later . 48cfa1e7782021
